Brian is someone whom I have a tremendous amount of respect for. His knowledge level and ability to relate to and motivate student-athletes from different backgrounds, genders, and levels of expertise has always impressed me. Brian is recognized as an innovator in his field, and is known throughout the country. I had the opportunity to work with him for multiple years, and have continued to use him as a resource now that I am in a setting where we train athletes from high school to the professional level. His methodology continues to be impressive as he embraces an attitude of being both a “lifelong learner” as well as someone who believes in the concept of “servant leadership.”
Brian has that unique ability to connect with student-athletes on a level that I feel generates a lot of trust in him as a person, and in turn allows him to have a great impact on young people. He is a high energy individual which is evident when you watch him train athletes. His creativity is also evident when you observe him at work giving one of his sessions. He believes in total athlete development so his balanced emphasis on developing strength, explosiveness, speed, and agility have great carryover to an athletes on the field, or court performance and in my opinion is one area that truly sets him apart.
Here at IMG Academy I have worked with some of the top specialists in their fields in strength and conditioning and sports science. I would personally consider Brian on par with anyone I have worked with and an asset to any program. I believe Brian to be both an excellent teacher and life coach. His athletes learn foundations of life which they have consistently used to achieve at high levels. Brian’s caring nature and sincere desire to help others is truly special.
